Another day, another healthy ice cream iteration. Breyers has been in the game for awhile, launching its first set of Delights flavors last August. Now, they’re shaking up the game with a product you really and truly can eat in one sitting. As much as Halo Top and the like tout eating an entire pint guiltlessly as a main draw, no one really feels great after that much ice cream, low-cal or not. It’s no surprise then that a mini version would eventually come.
Breyers has the first answer: smaller, four-ounce Delights Minis, which have between 70 and 80 calories each, as well as five grams of protein. The first two flavors are favorites from the regular-size Delights line. There’s Vanilla Cupcake, which Funfetti fans will love, made with cupcake batter vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. For the second flavor, they went with a classic: Creamy Chocolate.
According to The Feast, Breyers Delights taste the most similar to its regular pints compared to other traditional ice cream brands (like Ben & Jerry’s or Magnum) with a light but creamy texture.
The two new mini flavors are rolling out in grocery stores now, and are sold in four packs. If you’re looking for a full-size pint, the Delights line-up includes Cookies & Cream, Mint Chip, Raspberry Fudge Swirl, Vanilla Bean, and Butter Pecan, all of which will be available nationwide this year.
